The Essence of Greece: Island hopping on 35mm

To be honest, I was a little sceptical of how much I would like visiting Greece because of the tourist crowds. Usually one to shy away from highly populous areas, I spend my travel time slowly discovering lesser frequented areas on foot. So when booking a Greek island hopping trip with my friend, we chose to spend our majority time on Naxos and Milos.

Wow… I absolutely fell in love. The colours, the people, the FOOD. I shot 10 rolls of film during our short visit, and would happily return. Naxos was spent driving around the island to different beaches and view points, plus being stopped by farmers selling figs and home made wine (was the worst wine I have ever tasted haha). Milos was a photographers dream, with a day spent out on the water swimming and getting very burnt. Below is an photo essay of our time over the week on 35mm film.
